Advocacy ‘safety net’ service in Hampshire

We have set up this service for people with a learning disability and/or autism (or any vulnerable adults) who are at risk of missing out on services or support during the Covid 19 Public Health emergency

We can provide the following advocacy support to people and their families or carers:

  • Regular ‘check ins’ by phone, text, WhatsApp, Zoom
  • Support with health appointments or social care assessments and care planning
  • Support to access local services and support networks
  • Ensure that referrals are made for statutory advocacy where there is a legal entitlement to advocacy

We work in partnership with Choices Advocacy and Havant & East Hants Mind to support Hampshire residents throughout the county, all our advocates are:

  • Experienced at working with people who have communication difficulties
  • Qualified, DBS checked and supported in their role
  • Able to support people remotely using appropriate technology or in person with social distancing
