September 2011 - New volunteer at the coffee mornings Maria Miller, the Basingstoke MP and Minister for Disabled People, is volunteering at our coffee mornings. The coffee mornings are on the 1st Saturday of the month from 10am – 1pm, and a chance to meet up with friends over a drink and a biscuit. Other popular activities include using the computers and playing bingo, supported by Maria and the other volunteers Maureen and Colin. Photos are below. Click on a photo to see a bigger version: |

August 2011 - Friday Network say goodbye to Brenda Brenda Thompson retired from Hampshire County Council in July after many years working in the day services. She helped set up the Friday Network in 2006, and has worked with the group since then. The Network had a 'bring and share' lunch on 5 August to say goodbye. Wednesday Network museum exhibition The Wednesday Network had an exhibition at the Willis Museum in Basingstoke in March and April 2010.
